This week – 24 February 1303

The Scots, led by John Comyn of Badenoch and Sir Simon Fraser, defeat the English under the command of Sir John Segrave at the Battle of Roslin in Midlothian. It was a decisive Scottish victory and Comyn received much praise from the Scottish chroniclers John of Fordun and Walter Bower.
